What do i do???? please help!!!!?

ok last year my ex boyfriend had some problem... he hit me and all kinds of stuff when we were going out.... over the lat year hes went through counseling and became alot better person.... now were pretty good friends.... my new boyfriend knows about the way my ex has treated me before... he doesnt like me being friends with him and he always gets mad at me when i talk to him or anything.. . wat do i do
