My question is about feeding my 3 day old....?

My son is only 3 days old but we are having trouble feeding. What I have been doing is pumping milk, then attempt to feed and when we have done this for like 20 or 30 minutes and he gets really hungry I feed him the milk from his bottle. It seems like he is latching on really well but no matter what I do he will not stay awake on my . It seems like he is just kinda not catching on, he will get a pretty good hold on my nipple and then just sit there like hes waiting for my nipple to feed him. He has sucked a few times though he just won't continue to do it. He will suck like 3 times and then he will stop and fall asleep then get really frustrated because he is starving. I just don't know what to do, I really want this to work. I don't mind just pumping every three hours for his feedings but I am worried that my milk my just stop or something. Anyone have any good tips? Oh yeah and my milk just came in last night, before that when he wouldn't feed the nurses just had me give him formula.
