I want to learn to use the turntables, where do I start?

I'm 14, and I live in Dayton, Ohio. I want to learn to use turntables, and I don't know where to get started. I have no experience with them and don't know any of the "lingo", and I don't think I'm ready to purchase a set of turntables without trying them out first. Where can I try out or learn to use DJ? Are there any places near me that could help? If it helps at all, some artists I like are Daft Punk, Scooter, Benny Beni, The Prodigy, and Bhunter.
