At the Black Entertainment Awards host Jamie Foxx talked about the Ku Klux Klan? Was that smart?

A black mayor was featured who when he was a boy in that town, his grandfather had a shotgun ready because the KKK was in the street. Don't you think this just incites hatred for white people? It's supposed to be an awards show, not a civil rights rally. This is why I have a problem with only one race gathered together to recognize themselves.
